Pray with others or use this prayer as a start to your own.

O God of all creation, you call us all to walk humbly with one another and with you. Teach us to do so. Help us break down any dividing walls that separate us from one another--rich and poor, male and female, “us” and “them.” Bind our hearts in love for one another and for you, and show us the way to walk together. Guide our feet to the halls of power, for in standing up with any who are marginalized we stand with you. In embracing others in your work of love and justice we are embraced by you. Amen. 6. I'm asking for prayers of reconciliation for myself and the love of my life. she is my best friend and I hope one day for her to be my wife. But recently we had been arguing and it scared her and she left. I know this seems silly but she was the one person who loved me and I love her. Please bring us back together again, let our foundation be strong and loving please let me get the apartment that I recently applied for. I want to create a home for my family including her. I love her and I want her in my life forever.
    Thank you

  7. Please pray for the restoration of the relatrionship I have with the woman that I so deeply love. She is the only person I have a connection to on so many levels. We have known each other since we were 15 and steadily dated at 17 and became engaged at 17 and then married just after she turned 18. I have known her for 47 years and loved her for 45 years and been married to her for just over 44 years (12/2013). I would do anything for her and it grieves me that we have drifted apart (actually that she has drifted away as my love has always stayed strong and sure) - to the point where she feels that she no longer loves me. Thank you and may God bless you.... Larry

  9. From the United Methodist Committee on Relief:

UMCOR is supporting local church relief and recovery efforts in Colorado after severe flooding raged across 17 counties in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains last week. Please continue to pray for flood-affected survivors as they begin the overwhelming job of cleanup. Intercede with Isaiah 43:1-3.

Pray, too, for the survivors of floods and landslides in Mexico. Residents of 24 of Mexico’s 31 states were affected when two fierce tropical storms pelted the country from the east and from the west last week. At least 110 people are known to have died, while another 68 remain missing and unaccounted for. UMCOR is responding with emergency grants.

And please pray for peace. In recent days, our world has witnessed horrific scenes of violence, from the siege of a Nairobi, Kenya, shopping mall, to the bombing of a church in Pakistan, to the shooting deaths in the Washington Navy Yard and in the Back of the Yards neighborhood in Chicago. At least 165 people died in total in the three events and many more were left hurt and traumatized. Please also add Israel and Palestine to your prayers for peace this week.
  10. From the United Methodist Committee on Relief:

The International Day of Peace, observed September 21, is a day designated by the United Nations to strengthen the ideals of peace within and among all nations and peoples. As this day approaches, please pray for the end of hostilities around the world and remember those affected from tragic losses due to the September 11 event, the 12-year war in Afghanistan, and the more recent escalating conflict in Syria.
